This tells you what actual students think of my teaching and the lessons themselves not only that but the students achievements. If a guitar teacher cannot provide testimonials then this should be a massive red flag and one that should have you running to the hills...YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

I've been playing guitar for roughly 3 years now and had taught myself the basics from YouTube, however I got stuck in a rut of bouncing from one video online to another and not progressing with my playing. Karl has helped me to fix some of my playing flaws during the 8 months that I have been having my lessons with him. My strumming Technique has improved and i find it much easier to learn songs online. I now have a clear learning path from Karl which I feel has improved my playing. 


I am now quite fluent with the pentatonic scales in all positions and we have recently moved on to the Diatonic scale. Karl certainly knows his stuff and I leave every lesson with lots of new ideas and knowledge under my belt.

Hello I just want to say a few words for my amazing teacher Karl I came to him just 4 months before the exams I had just passed my grade 5 with distinction and I was ready to start grade 6 with only 4 months of preparation I went to the exams of grade 6 and got a distinction!!

I have been learning guitar with Karl for nearly 2 years. In this time I have developed my soloing technique and learnt different musical styles as well., I have always wanted to develope my understanding of music theory and Karl has helped me with this. He has helped me to improve technically and given me confidence to take on more demanding challenges.

Searching for a creative outlet I bit the bullet and decided I wanted to learn the guitar. 2 months on I've gone from not even knowing how to hold a pick to already playing covers of some of my favourite songs with the proper technique and timing. I'm convinced I would never have done it without the structured lesson plans, patient guidance and wealth of expertise that Karl offers. I love how he tailors the teaching to the kind of music you want to play and his ethos of inspiring you to express your own creative voice as a musician. The lessons are relaxed, fun and collaborative and the focus is always on you. They've become the highlight of the week for me and I am so excited about what the future holds. Karl is a phenomenal mentor who is always willing to go the extra mile and with a free introductory lesson what's holding you back?

Many Thanks to Karl Jones my guitar instructor . This past 3 month you pushed and pushed me and I got a Merit with a score of 80 out of 100! . Well !! I am pleased with the progress . 
It was all worth it .

Merit in RGT Acoustic Guitar Grade 3 Exam 
I have been having guitar lessons with Karl for around 6 months. I decided to do the RGT Acoustic Guitar Grade 3 exam where I gained a Distinction and got a score of 87 out of 100! I am now going to sit the RGT Electric Guitar Grade exams next. Thank you Karl for all your help and support.

Over the last 10 years I’ve attempted to learn to play the guitar on several occasions. I’ve used books, DVDs and online tutorials. Each attempt ended in failure as I quickly lost interest due to my lack of progress.

Recently I decided to try again but this time using a qualified guitar teacher. I found Karl through an internet search and arranged to have weekly lessons. I’ve been seeing Karl for about two months now and I’m pleased with my progress. Having a regular lesson has encouraged my to practice daily and allowed me to get personalised feedback on my progress. Karl ensures that each lesson builds on the last in small but challenging steps.

My children have noticed the difference too. Their initial reaction of ‘Why are you learning the guitar, again?’ has changed and they can recognise the tunes that I’m playing!

I have been having lessons with Karl for a while now. I can play open chords, bar chords and various techniques to enhance my guitar playing. I have built up an extensivc portfolio of songs to play which is great for entertaining friends and family. I continue my lessons with Karl as after a stressful week I can relax and chill learning new tunes.

I had hit a brick wall with my progress whilst learning off YouTube so I started having guitar lessons with Karl. We discussed a plan with regard to my progress and are now putting it into practice.
I could change between the A, D and E chords easily but I have now progressed to harder chord changes and strumming patterns as a result of lessons with Karl and practicing myself at home.

 Karl is a good teacher and listener who is happy to go over aspects of the lessons until you are comfortable on what is being taught. The setting is great and relaxing with no pressure on you during the lesson which I appreciate..
Overall I am very pleased with my progress and the lessons have definitely helped.
