BEWARE THE 'KNOW IT ALL' GUITAR TEACHER

Charlie Wallace of Guitar Mastery sums this type of teacher up nicely.

If this sounds familiar then your not alone... I have been there myself. Sat there with my guitar just waiting to play...only to be told that "Frank Zappa uses the mixolydian mode a lot" zzzzz

How do you avoid this situation? The answer lies in TESTIMONIALS. Its simple if a student isnt learning anything in their guitar lessons its highly unlikely that they will leave a testimonial for their teacher. Not only that its also very unlikely that anyone else will leave them a testimonial either. So if you are approached by a teacher for guitar lessons simply ask them for testimonials and see their reaction. If they cannot provide them the answer is simple...politely refuse and walk away.
